Our imaging centers also provide other services, such as Multislice CT, NCV/EMG, ultrasound, and X-ray.

Multislice CT

Multislice CT

The Multislice CT scan is the next evolution of computed tomography (CT) which allows faster acquisition of patients’ images.  By having your patients imaged with our advanced Multislice CT scanners their pathology will be properly scanned and diagnosed with decreased radiation exposure.

NCV / EMG

NCV / EMG

The nerve conduction velocity test (NCV) is an electrical test used in detecting nerve injury. The test involves the nerves being electrically stimulated to measure the electric impulse and it is done with surface patch electrodes placed on the skin. The calculations recorded from the test illustrate the speed of impulse transmission between the electrodes. An NCV test can be used to detect numbness, tingling, and/or burning sensations, as well as more serious nerve disorders. In conjunction with the NCV test, an electromyogram (EMG) test is conducted to detect the electrical activity of the muscles.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a non-invasive (no ionizing radiation) imaging test that involves utilization of high frequency sound waves to create a real time image of the part of the body being targeted. Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiogram) is performed to detect functional and anatomical abnormalities of the heart.

X-ray

X-Ray

X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation that creates images of structures inside the body. The process involves radiation being emitted into the body, striking a film plate, and creating a two-dimensional image of the body structure and its cavities.
